Two boys, one astronaut and a villain called Mabuz come to life on the W:HALLL stage when the Bruocsella Symphony Orchestra presents its annual concerts for families and children. 

Commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Apollo-11 moon landing, the Bruocsella will present 4 concerts including music from Star Wars by John Williams, excerpts from Holst’s The Planets and a rip-roaring piece by Paul Hindemith: Ragtime

An original story, songs, dancing and a magic vehicle mean this year’s production will literally be out-of-this-world!
Join the Bruocsella on our space adventure on Saturday 30thNovember and Sunday 1stDecember. 

On Saturday the concert will be in Dutch at 16:00 and French at 19:00

On Sunday the concert is presented in English at 14:00 and again in French at 17:00

Our soloist, Amy Norrington, comes from London, where she studied with Alexander Baillie at the Royal Academy of Music. She also studied with Steven Doane at the Eastman School of Music in New York State. She is now based in Brussels, where she is a cellist in high demand.

Amy is a regular guest with chamber ensembles and at festivals all over Europe. She is a member of the Oxalys ensemble and of the Talisma piano trio. She plays as guest solo cellist with La Monnaie, the Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra, the Vlaamse Opera, the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, the Flanders Symphony Orchestra and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra.

Amy is the Artistic Director of the ‘Resonances’ International Chamber Music Festival in Belgium and of the Dublin-based chamber music series called ‘Howth Chamber Music’.
